Olson Water & Land (OWL) is a woman-owned small business founded by Jessie Olson, a restoration ecologist and environmental planner. With a strong commitment to watershed restoration across the western U.S., OWL specializes in a comprehensive range of services, including planning, assessment, design, cost estimating, implementation, and monitoring. OWL is known for its science-driven approach and dedication to integrating diverse perspectives into its projects. Jessie, who holds a master’s degree in environmental planning from U.C. Berkeley, has led numerous watershed restoration efforts in various ecosystems. She has managed large-scale restoration planning projects for the Department of the Interior and spearheaded over 20 flood recovery river restoration projects during her tenure as Executive Director of The Watershed Center in Colorado from 2015 to 2023. Jessie’s expertise and leadership ensure that OWL delivers on-the-ground solutions that support both ecological and community resilience.
